| Location: Private residence in Parma, Oh Date: November 10, 2007 Time: 7:00 PM-2:00 AM Investigators: John, Bea, Greg, Kathy, and Jake Location Description: Eleven hundred square foot, two-story, one family colonial, residential home built in 1952. The house is located on a quiet residential street. There is a detached garage at the rear of the home. Occupied by two adults, Frank and Sue* and two nine year old children, one boy and one girl. There are no pets in the home. Paranormal Activity Reported: Sue purchased the property in September 2004. The activity has gone on sporadically for the past couple of years, but has increased dramatically over the past couple of months. The following is a list of activity that has been reported over the past several months. First floor – In the kitchen there is a Jesus figurine on top of a cabinet that turns on it’s own. The figurine use to belong to Frank’s grandfather who passed away about three years ago. The figurine will face the window if it is sunny outside, but will turn away when it is gloomy. First floor – The rocking chair in the living room has been seen by witnesses rocking on its own. First floor – Sometimes when Frank is alone he will hear heavy footsteps coming from the hallway on the second floor. Frank states it sounds like someone is angry and stomping around. Second floor – The bathroom door will open on it’s own when the door is shut and someone is taking a shower. There is also a strong feeling that there is someone in the bathroom with them. Shadowy figures have also been seen. The room will get cold when the door opens. (Investigators checked the door to see if it could slip open on its own. The door is hard to close, and if it is not closed all the way it could open up. However if the door is closed all the way the doorknob is hard to turn and the door is difficult to open). Second floor – Recently Sue’s 9-year-old daughter stated, “I think we have a ghost”. When asked why, the daughter stated because she heard someone calling “mommy”. The daughter was never told about the house being possibly haunted. Basement – There is a treadmill that was purchased at a garage sale in the laundry room in the basement. The treadmill is kept in the southwest corner of the room. Sometimes Frank feels as if someone is breathing on his neck when he is using the treadmill. He has also been tapped on the shoulder while on the treadmill. Shadowy figures have been seen and there is always a feeling that someone is watching you. Frank also heard a male voice saying “get out”. Basement – there is also a bathroom in the basement where shadows are also seen while they are taking showers. Investigative Evidence: Investigators had several unexplained things happen, including intense feelings at the top of the stairs on the second floor, temperature drops and EMF spikes. Results of Investigation: 201 digital photographs taken. 32 hours 54 minutes of video 6 hour 10 minutes of audio PHOTOGRAPH: Location: basement laundry room near bathroom. (black shadow) Time: 11:50 PM Equipment Used: Canon Powershot G6 7.1 megapixel digital camera Investigator(s)/witnesses: Greg Details: Shadow captured in lower left of photograph in area where shadows have been seen. Did not see shadow when photo was taken. Took other photos immediately after and no shadow was captured. Also experimented with lens cap, fingers, hand blocking lens but could not recreate shadow. Unknown what caused shadow. AUDIO Location: Landing at top of stairs. (breath) Time: Approx. 9:00 PM Equipment Used: Zoom H2 Handy recorder Investigator(s)/witnesses: none Details: All investigators had just left residence and homeowner was locking front door. A “sigh of relief” is heard along with a strange voice. Unknown who’s voice or what caused the sigh. Breath VIDEO & AUDIO Location: 2nd floor bathroom and landing at top of stairs. (bathroom noise) Time: Approx. 9:15 pm Equipment used: Sony DCR-HC40 Digital Handycam w/IR Night Vision Adapter & Zoom H2 Handy Recorder Investigator(s)/witnesses: none Details: Everyone left the residence while equipment was set up and left to run undisturbed. A “sliding” type of noise was recorded on both video and audio. Sounds as if something is sliding down a wall. Upon return to the residence nothing was discovered out of place. Unknown what caused the noise. Bathroom Sliding Noise VIDEO Location: 2nd floor girls bedroom. (footsteps) Time: 10:57 PM Equipment used: Sony CCD-TRV138 Handycam w/Nightshot Investigator(s)/witnesses: none Details: Video camera was stationary set up on tri-pod. What sounds like footsteps walking across a hard floor are heard. All investigators were downstairs on first floor at the time and heard nothing. There are no hard floors on 2nd floor. Homeowners state the footsteps are what they hear. Unknown what caused the footsteps. Bedroom Footsteps VIDEO Location: 2nd floor girls bedroom (bedroom noise) Time: 11:06 PM Equipment Used: Sony CCD-TRV138 Handycam w/Nightshot Investigator(s)/witnesses: John & Jake Details: John and Jake were sitting in the girls room attempting to capture EVPs when they both heard a sound in the corner behind Jake. The sound occurred right after John stated “give us a sign that you’re here with us tonight.” They tried to get the sound to occur again when you see Jake lurch forward a bit. Jake then stated “whoa, it just hit me on the shoulder”. Bedroom Noise VIDEO & AUDIO Location: 2nd floor girls bedroom (how’s it going?) Time: 11:08 PM Equipment Used: Sony CCD-TRV138 Handycam w/Nightshot & Olympus DVR VN-1000 w/Sony Electrec Condensor Mic ECM-F8 Investigator(s)/witnesses: John & Jake Details: John and Jake are observed standing in the corner talking back and forth trying to figure out what the previous sound was. As they are talking you can hear another voice that sounds like it is saying “how’s it going?” The EVP was captured on both the video, which was stationary on a tri-pod and the Olympus recorder, which Jake had in his hand. The voice was not heard at the time it was recorded. The EVP was played for the homeowners who stated one of their grandfathers use to always say “how’s it going”. Relatives also listened to the EVP and stated the voice is indeed that of Frank’s deceased grandfather. Video: "How's It Going?" Audio: "How's It Going?" |
