Location: Private residence in Wadsworth, OH Date: February 06, 2010 Investigators: John, Kathy and Greg
Location Description: Nine-hundred and eighteen (918) square foot, two story, duplex, built in 1960, consisting of a living room, small dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom. There is an unfinished basement and an attached one car garage. Paranormal Activity Reported: This is a return visit to this residence. A previous investigation was held on January 23, 2010.
On January 24, 2010 a phone call was received from Dale*. Dale stated last night Tina* was sitting on the couch in the living room when a can of pop sitting on a table was crushed down a little bit. She then felt something sit on the couch next to her. Tina then became sick to her stomach.
It was also learned that a death occurred at the duplex. Dale received a copy of the police report on the death that occurred. According to the police report, a 41 year old female was found deceased in her upstairs bedroom in December, 2003. According to the report the deceased was a heavy drinker and was an abuser of illegal drugs. The coroner’s office listed the cause of death as Acute Pancreatitis (days old) and Chronic Pancreatitis caused by the long term use of alcohol.
Several symptoms of pancreatitis are nausea, irritability and feeling lightheaded (eMedicineHealth. com). These symptoms correspond to what others have experienced in the duplex. Several investigators felt nauseous in the daughter’s room and one felt lightheaded. Both Dale and Tina also feel nauseous throughout the duplex.
Dale called later during the week and stated he was sitting in the living room when he heard his daughter upstairs having a conversation with someone. He stated he became mad and ran upstairs and began yelling at whatever it was, to leave his daughter alone and get out of the house. He then brought his daughter downstairs at which time she said, “***** went bye-bye”. Dale stated there was no way his daughter could have known the name *****. ***** is the first name of the female who died in the duplex.
Investigative Evidence: During this investigation John and Kathy were upstairs in the daughter’s room with a walkie-talkie when voices were heard over the walkie-talkie. The voices sounded like a young child and an older female. At one point the child stated, “help me now”. It was hard to make out most of the conversation, which lasted less than three minutes and was very sporadic. There were several things that were unusual about the voices coming over the walkie-talkie: • The voices sounded far off. • The nature of the conversation; someone asking for help. • They never responded to John, who kept asking where are you and how can we help. • Walkie-talkies in the basement never picked up the voices. • The voices ceased as soon as Dale and Greg went into the bedroom. • Neither the voices nor any other communication was ever heard over the walkie-talkies during the first investigation or any other time during this investigation.
Also during a portion of the investigation Tina started feeling ill. Tina went into the bathroom where she became sick to her stomach. A photograph of Tina shows her face really pale (gray) with dark, sunken eyes, which she did not look like prior to the investigation.
Investigators reviewed all the photographs, video, audio and personal experiences. In addition to what was previously mentioned, two loud taps were recorded in the master bedroom on a stationary Mini-DV camcorder. At the time there was no one in the master bedroom or upstairs. Everyone was in the basement at the time. Nothing else was captured on any of the recording equipment.
Results of Investigation: 109 digital photographs taken. 30 hours 22 minutes of video. 14 hour 16 minutes of audio.
